1. Registration & Payment
· Enrolment: All participants must complete registration, including signing a liability waiver, and pay in full to secure a spot.
· Payment Method: Payment must be made via internet banking before the registration deadline.
2. Refunds & Cancellations (By Participant)
· Pre‑seminar Cancellation: Up to 1 month before the event, participants may cancel and receive a refund minus a 10% processing fee.
· Late or No Cancellation: After this cutoff, registrations are non‑refundable, though credit for a future seminar may be offered at the organiser’s discretion.
· Change Requests: Limited changes (e.g., to participant name or session) may be allowed before the cutoff, without additional fees.
3. Event Cancellation or Instructor Unavailability
· Instructor Withdrawal: If the Sensei cannot attend due to illness or travel issues, organisers may:
o Appoint a qualified replacement, or
o Reschedule the seminar.
· Cancellation: If rescheduling isn’t possible, participants will receive a full refund of the registration fee.
· Expenses Disclaimer: Organisers are not responsible for any loss such as travel, accommodation, or other incidental costs.
4. Liability & Safety
· Assumption of Risk: Participation involves physical activity and inherent risks, including injury. Participants willingly accept these risks.
· Release of Liability: Participants release the organisers, venue staff, and instructors from liability for any loss or injury, except in cases of gross negligence.
· Medical Disclosure: Participants must inform organisers of any pre-existing conditions. It is recommended to consult a medical professional before attending.
5. Behaviour & Conduct
· Participants must conduct themselves respectfully and adhere to dojo etiquette, including attire and punctuality.
· Disruptive behaviour may result in expulsion without refund, at the organiser’s discretion
6. Privacy & Media Consent
· Personal Data: Registrants agree to the collection and use of personal data in accordance with privacy policy.
· Photos & Video: Photographs or recordings may be taken for promotional use. If participants prefer not to be included, they can opt out by contacting the organisers.
7. Schedule & Venue Changes
· Organisers reserve the right to alter the schedule, venue, or format due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. weather, venue issues, travel restrictions).
· Participants will be informed promptly. Alternatives may include remote delivery or transfers as applicable.
8. Amendments to Terms
· The organisers may update these terms at any time. Notable changes will be communicated directly or posted on the event website.
9. Governing Law
· These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and any disputes will be handled under its jurisdiction.
